(1) Location: The North of Guanghai Bay Industrial Zone, with a planning area of 20 square kilometer, is located to the southeast of Taishan city proper. It lies with its back on the east of Gudou mountain, facing two main traffic channels – Xintai Expressway, in which the west side connects Hongling Industrial Development Zone, and Gaotong line, a provincial road, to the west, reaches Qi Mountain Reservoir to the south and nears BanTan Reservoir to the northeast. It is 8 km away to Taishan city proper, 4 km away to Chonglou town to the southwest, reaches Sijiu town, including the developing Sijiu Changlong Industrial Zone, to the northeast. It is planned to intake projects of knowledge-intensive with high & new technology, environmental friendly.
  (2) Natural Environment: Most of the planning lands are hilly lands. There are some villages in the west and the north of the zone and nearby Shibantan Overseas Chinese middle school, Baishi primary school and Shantang school.
  (3) Traffic: It is 38 km away to Taishan Port that can berth 10-thousand-ton ships. To the west, Xintai Expressway goes beside it from west to north, and the nearest entrance of the expressway, Chonglou gate, is only 1 km away to it. Also, it is near Gaotong line to the west.
  (4) Energy: abundant supplies of water and power. To the west, there is a 220kv high-tension wire lining from south to north.
