(1) Location: It is located in the Guanghai Bay, which is including the connecting point of Xintai Expressway and West Coastal Expressway and Chixi peninsular. The planning area is 100 square kilometer, 20 square kilometer area of which is military land. It strides across Chixi town, Guanghai town, Doushan town, Duhu town and Duanfen tow. Two expressways (including Xintai Expressway and West Coastal Expressway) and three provincial roads (including S273 Gaotong line, S274 Nianguang line and S365 Mayang line) are connected in this zone. Taishan Port, a national first-category port, and Taishan Power Station, the Asia-largest coal power generation, are also located in the zone. With the abundant resources of water, power and lands and the advance of land and water traffic, the zone is planned to be the base of large-scale heavy chemical industry and heavy equipment production industry.
  (2) Lands Use: With abundant land resources, most of the lands are alluvial plains and some of them are coastal platforms and hilly lands.
  (3) Infrastructure:
With strategic location, it connects two expressways and the largest port. It is the only way connecting the west Pearl River Delta Area and the other sides. And the construction of GangZhuAo Bridge makes it more outstanding of its strategic location.
  With adequate water resources, the Dalongdong Reservoir will supply 170 million m3water in the future.
  Power resource is another advantage. There are three 110kv substations and one 220kv substation in the zone.
